. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. this midday family and friends continue to search for are an oakland woman. the woman was last seen walking on 34th and telegraph last week and now this new clue may help them. we're live at that corner in oakland. there's been no sign of her since then. >> reporter: you're right. good afternoon to you. she was known to go on walks or runs in the neighborhood. last thursday was no different except for the fact she has not been seen since. family and friends hope that posters like this and surveillance video can offer clues to her disappearance. this is perhaps the last time 31 yeed erika mascalaras was seen. she walked around 34th at telegraph about 8:00 a.m. last thursday. everything in the video seems fine. her nephew hopes the video proves she's alive and well. >> i'm worried sick about her. this is ridiculous. >> one of the bakery owners says she was a regular and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. >> extremely worried. wondering how we can better weep our community safe and employees, customers and the general public. >> erika is a widow. her hus

'chez panisse'... is the site of this restaurant fire. >> it is still not known but the damage seems to be significant. there were not even sure if it was of the inside with the outside but they just responded at 3:00 a.m. let me show you video of one this actually was active. when they showed up the officials knew that it was a landmark restaurant. they have quickly figured it out that it was more of an exterior fire and an interior fire and were able to put it out. they just want to make sure that there is no further damage inside the building. so they are trying to tear down the branches because there is a large tree in front of the restaurant. making sure the there are no pockets of flames or smoldering inside. it seems to be pretty significant damage. they are saying that this is a out of commission. but the good news is that this is salvageable. there were sp

this morning after they were shot in oakland. it happened last night around 8:30 p.m.. police responded to the area of 66 avenue and international boulevard where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. the two men were then taken to the hospital where they are listed in stable condition this morning. >> milpitas police arrested a man in connection with the bank robbery earlier this month. 32 year-old hunter thompson is suspected of robbing a chase bank on north milpitas boulevard on march the ninth. police say that thompson allegedly walked into the bank with a gun and handed a bank teller a demand note. the teller handed over cash in the suspect fled. police said that thomson also may be responsible for bank robberies in san francisco, redwood city and palo alto. >> napa police are investigating whether a man who died after being found and often flames on a pedestrian overpass was the victim of a homicide or committed suicide. motorists on highway 29 contacted authorities just before 4:00 a.m. to set morning to report a man on fire. the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

by gunfire in his grandparents apartment in richmond. the boy was taken to oakland children's hospital and kron4 will tran joins us from the hospital. >> the first episode offer a $25,000 reward in this is just out rates the chief of police is. the boy is inside and he has been here since 2:00 p.m. yesterday. he is in stable condition and should survive. here is video that you only see on kron 4 where he was inside his bed when gunfire broke out in front of the home. the bullets went through the window and struck him. fragments from the bullet hit something that pierced the child's neck. the rest and to the hospital. the police suspect that the person was shooting at someone else and a bicyclist was injured. they have not yet been able to locate the shooter. we had a chance to talk to the grandfather who was feeding the child at the time. >> for the shooter, whoever he is. i hope he stops what he is doing. all of this shooting is to stop. i do not hold a grudge, i just hope got it scared him. >> obviously, he refused to put his face on camera out of fear. he stated that he will like to

. san francisco, oakland -- it is san francisco, i'm being told. but again, we have overcast skies. some of us dealing with patchy dense fog, once again. i'm starting out with a still shot of the radar and you can see rain in washington, oregon is drive. california, high and dry. temperatures will continue to warm under this ridge of high pressure. a little bit of moist flow at times. a weak, weak onshore breeze bringing back the clouds and patchy fog. the ridge of high pressure, the associated sinking area is helping to pin it to the ground. you can imagine it kind of pushing it down as it -- as it continues to strengthen. that's what we're seeing this morning. widespread, patchy, dense, novato and petaluma reporting visibility down to .25. san jose overcast skies but it doesn't look like it's right there at the ground level. so you should be okay. but just take it easy out there. notice it is widespread. half moon bay reported visibility three miles right now. as we progress to the morning hours, it will burn off by 8:00, 9:00. looking better. by 10:00, 11:00, it takes until it finally

at 21 miles per hour in navado. travel cautiously. oakland sustained at 25 miles per hour. that means you could get caught by a strong gust as you cross the bay bridge this morning. let's talk about showers. take you to the future via future cast. most of the moisture starting to lighten up and press to the south. by mid-morning we'll see spotty activity. at 6:00 p.m. starting to clear out. we are not cone yet. more rain on the way as we head through thursday morning just in time. you said it, for the morning rush. unfortunately that's how the storms have been timing out for a couple of months. 56 degrees in livermore. 58 in fremont. 57 degrees in san b jose. you think about the rain coming through after the front passes. the cold air settles in. low snow levels. we could see another round of foothills snow through tomorrow morning. that's what we are talking about. by friday we clear you out. showers lipger saturday morning but the sun comes back. we warm into the 60s. look at monday. weather whiplash again. a 20-degree jump between today and monday. we'll enjoy the 70s. don't forget

start in some areas. a few degrees cooler at this point than yesterday morning. 49 in oakland. 46 in san francisco. 30s to 40s inland. and widespread 40s around the bay. afternoon highs, very similar to yesterday. maybe even slightly warmer with partly cloudy skies expected for the afternoon. here is the storm. rain now reported in crescent city. 150, 160 miles to the north of us. by the evening hours, the rain will begin to fall. the rain sweeps through tonight into tomorrow morning. and the core of this storm will take another day or two before it moves through. we will remain unsettled for wednesday as well as thursday. with the rain event, anywhere from a quarter inch to three quarters and with the winds passing through a little later tonight along with the front you can expect gusty conditions to 20 miles per hour or on so. fast forward into tuesday 6:00 or so. into santa rosa, that north edge of the rain. during the evening drive, most of us will remain dry by 7:00 or so it is sliding just south of the golden gate. coming fast at this point into 8:00 now along the peninsula spreadi
